Spreading Love In The Month Of Love With Salaam Baalak Trust

‘Tis the month of love. Is the affection called love all about special someone and family? It is important to spread love across the masses. When you walk through the by-lanes of a city and find street children begging or doing petty jobs, how do you feel? The underprivileged children deserve all the love and happiness. Do you agree? This month is all about love and you should give to those who haven’t received it.

The street children deserve love and care. It is very unfortunate that they are deprived of it. Among various things they need, education is the most important thing they need. One needs to work towards street children education. In this regard, Salaam Baalak Trust is actively working for the street children and their betterment. The team not only rescues children from the streets, it gives them food, shelter, and most importantly, education. Many a times, it reunites the children with their respective family too.

You can be a part of this process of helping others too. You can donate for street children and help them achieve their dreams. In addition, you can do various voluntary activity wherein you can teach any thing like music, Yoga, sports and all. This helps them in building a beautiful personality. As a result, they are just not the usual kids but kids with talents.

Learn to exhibit love by doing everything that is possible for the street children. Don’t just stock love for the special someone. You can rather visit one of the shelter homes of Salaam Baalak Trust and spend sometime with the children. This will make them and you happy.

With your effort, a lot can be seen in the section of street children’s education. You can spread love this way by giving all your efforts. This month of love, just celebrate by spreading love.

Take a stand now for the street children. Go ahead and donate for them. Your donation has a huge importance and with your contribution, it is possible to change the future of India. Donate to Salaam Baalak Trust now.

Fund Raiser In Aid Salaam Baalak Trust @30 Years

Salaam Baalak Trust, an NGO working with street children is celebrating 30 years of providing basic facilities to the vulnerable children who live on the harsh streets of Delhi NCR or who find themselves abandoned there. The Trust was set up after the success of internationally acclaimed film Salaam Bombay by Mira Nair in 1988.

"Why would a child run away from anything that he/she is familiar with - parents, home, friends, and surroundings? But pushed to the wall, many try to escape what must be a living nightmare, an alcoholic father, an abusive step mother, a sexually predatory relative, grinding poverty or the lure of bright city lights offered up by seemingly innocent traffickers – it's a hope for a better life that makes them leave home”.

Since inception, Salaam Baalak Trust has been a constant source of helping such children realize their rights and feel safe in this world. The trust has toiled tirelessly and garnered immense goodwill allowing it to support over 90,000 children in need. Today the trust has 12 contact points, 7 shelter homes. 1000 of these children go to regular schools and 18000 have been reunited with their families. Many of these children are rescued by the Child line (a dedicated help line manned 24 x7) staff upon getting a phone call or after surveys done in child labor intensive areas with the help of the police.

The NGO provides shelter, education, and most importantly care and love.

To celebrate this milestone and to gather funds to continue the work, SBT is presenting a beautiful memorable concert with well-known Composer and Singer - Shekhar Ravjiani  on 13th December 2018 @ Siri fort Auditorium – Delhi

After sold out shows recently in Dubai, Jakarta, KL, Singapore and Hongkong, it is the first ticketed concert in India.

Let Salaam Baalak Trust Take The Baton To Help Street Children

India may not be the nation of the highest number of poor people anymore but that doesn’t deny the fact that a conspicuous amount of poverty is still lurking around. Still, there are people who are struggling to meet their daily needs. Can we boast of our chests and claim to the world that we are good, we are happy? We can not. Our economy is not developed enough to eliminate poverty totally.

Among all the atrocities that poverty causes, dwelling on the street without a roof on top is worst. Unfortunately, India is a testimony of lives putting up on the streets. On top of all issues, the problem relating to the street children remains perennial. What are we doing to remove it? Are we doing anything for their rehabilitation?

There are multifarious NGOs that are engaged in working for the abandoned child rescue operations. One of the most phenomenal NGOS among all is Salaam Baalak Trust. Based out of the capital, the NGO is a three-decade-old organization that is working hard to provide shelter, education, food and most importantly happy childhood to the street children.
